Hello! I’m Jake and unsurprisingly, the founder of Tennis with Jake. I’ve spent my adult life coaching tennis and teaching in both secondary and primary schools. In the summer of 2021, I took the plunge to go part time at school so that I can invest my time in growing the tennis opportunities already set up by Jim Mellor and Jackie Speakman in the Scarborough area.

The aim is simple: to provide excellent tennis coaching for all ages and abilities.

Jim has been a stalwart of Scarborough tennis for the last 30 years. Despite still having the energy of the average 21-year-old, he has decided to pass the tennis reins over to Jake. Although, he has agreed to not hang his racquet up entirely yet and still coaches the current development squad.
